The most recent iterations of Super Mario 64 are available on the Nintendo Switch, with the limited time release Super Mario 3D All-Stars and a later emulation included with the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack premium subscription. Super Mario 64 DS would later get its own separate re-release on the Wii U Virtual Console as a relatively faithful port of the 2004 title. The Wii version is compatible with the GameCube controller and the Wii Pro Controller while the Wii U version can utilize the Pro Controller or Wii U GamePad and restore point feature. Both titles are emulations of the original N64 version, albeit with improved resolution taking advantage of the home console's hardware capabilities.
Several relatively faithful emulations of Super Mario 64 have been released on home consoles, with Virtual Console versions of the game released on the Wii and Wii U in 20, respectively.
